Anybody got a line on any? Thanks G
The only thing I've seen is one guy in Chesterfield on CL... is $50 a frame the going rate?
-sheesh, bees are high.
Thanks, and no. Nucs are generally "half" a single, 5 frames drawn, 3 w/ various stages of brood, 2 w/ honey and pollen, with a laying queen and enough bees to cover the brood. I have an old man that is selling them for 100(which is very low) normal price form 125-175 but need to wait and see how he came out of winter. He is downsizing. Just trying to cover my back. Thanks. G
I reserved two 5 frame deep nucs @ $220 ea... I just figured I was getting cleaned. Wasn't anything else out there... Heck 3lb pkgs are $100-125!
I guess nucs are great at $100 if you can get 'em...
Let me clarify that...
The Chesterfield guy had 2 frame deep 'nucs' for $100.
I'm getting two 5 frame nucs from a cat down near Smith Mt. Lake. He also had 10 frame hive for $400
Not a bad way to start. I would have took em my first year, you will be way ahead of a package with drawn comb and a actively laying queen with brood. Good Luck. G

Thomas i tried to pm you but in my message folder it comes up no sent messages, I dont know if it went thru or not, but would like to further the conversation. Perhaps you could try and send me a pm if you didnt get mine and a response will go thru. Thanks. G
thomas I sent you one, too.
Big G - I think you have to click 'save in outbox' under your message to keep a copy... I found that out the hard way. It's weird having a conversation with someone and not being able to see what you said. Glen
