Title: Scratching super to feed bees below

What do you think? The bees stores are low and it's cold with full supers above.

I don't think scratching open the super and having honey run down on the bees is a good idea. If your having outdoor temps in the thirties daytime, the bees should be able to move stores as they need them.
The cluster may not have moved up because of covering brood. But I would be thinking the bees may be moving some honey as they need it.
