Hello All :)
I have been working with bees for the past 4 years with my father and brother-in-law. We have 11 hives this year and I am trying my first TBH. I have had a lot of luck reading posts on the forums and figured it was time to join the community!
Welcome. I was a lurker myself. But... I'm (1) post ahead of you. I heard TBH's were hard to maintain through Winter? Good luck.

Bees are tough to maintain through the Winter... TBHs are no tougher...

Welcome to the forum.
Welcome!
Welcome to Beemaster.
The reason most beeks recommend new beeks use a Langstroth hive is that with a TBH it is very easy to have an entire frame of bees break and land on your feet if they are not handled properly.

Hey OhioRyan. Welcome!
Im in South East Michigan, so maybe we can share a few ideas down the road!
Thank you all for the warm welcome! We have been using Langstroth hives for the past 3 years and we are comfortable with them at this point. Sadly we have not had any hives make it through the winter as they have been pretty rough the last 2 years. So far after 2 weeks my TBH is doing better than I could have hoped. The bees are keeping their comb nice and straight and working hard! I will try to share some pictures and video throughout the season as we tend to take some with a GoPro when ever we go out to check on them.
Welcome
