Greetings from the north. We have a green house and pellet stove business in Valdez, Alaska. We just started with bees to help with pollination (hopefully). Our hive has been in place two weeks, so far - so good. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy.
Welcome!
Welcome kayaks,
They say that fireweed is some dang good honey.
First welcome to the forum and the beekeeping industry.
Becoming a beekeeper has a lot of advantages, first you are helping in pollinating plants with your bees and your bees will be producing honey that is high in demand.
The world is in need of beekeepers to help in producing honey so there's space for anyone to come in this industry.
All the best!
So far, so good. It's been three weeks since the bees were hived. There are lots of eggs and larvae. Haven't seen the queen, but it's been too cold to look. A friend gave me a couple frames of comb, so they didn't have to start from scratch. Not too worried about honey, I'm hoping they can help pollinate our greenhouse.
Welcome
