Title: Mold On comb
Post by: Erich on April 03, 2006, 10:11:30 PM
Can anyone tell me if I can use comb from a collony that died with a package of bees. The comb has mold  on the portion where the bees died. Maybe a 6inch circular area. Will the mold be more difficult to deal with compared to using foundation. Also I plan on feeding frames with honey for the first time and would like to know where to position them in the box when installing the package. Thanks.

Bees usually clean things up pretty quickly.  I'd use it.  I'd put it near the center.
