Mass Bee ,Franklin County Beekeepers and the University put on a great outdoor field day each year from 9 to 3:30 with a break for lunch. If you live in the Northeast and have a chance to attend it is worthwhile. It's a good day for beginners and experienced alike. There is opportunity to ask questions during live demonstrations.
You can pack your lunch or have the bbq lunch for 10 dollars. Otherwise there is no cost. Bee supply vendors will be onsite too.
