Title: can I paint a hive body with bees in it?

 I have all top bars but just bought a hive body with bees in it, can I paint it with bees in it? I dont have another one.

I have several times with no problems. I used latex paint and did it during the heat of the day so it dried fast.

 Thanks, just didn't know if it would hurt the bees.

JUst remember to leave a large space around the entrance unpainted.  I painted it by mistake, but sanded it off.
