Yep, I have some boxes like that that are going to need attention soon. Only have 2 production hives but the have almost 3 supers apiece full and 90% capped. G

Just curious...how did you prevent the swarms and harvest that much honey?

Room to grow. No Q excluder. My Hives were relatively small clusters coming out of winter in singles. They built up the singles well just in time for the flow.

I gave the bees lots of room.  And like Big G states, no excluder. This frame is from a box on a package started in April. (Carnolans).
And Steve, I had a couple headbutting me right off the bat, so no hero action here.I took about six or seven to the hands going through the hives yesterday.
And the veil is for your eye protection from that ugly mug!
