Hi Guys: Well I am wonder what I should do with these bees??They are from a partial cut out I did about 1 month ago. They were on the outisde and I discovered the hive was partially inside the house. The newer part was inside the house and I couldn't get the owner to allow me to get the rest and o'course Queen is in the house,I only have about 1000 to 12000 of the bees left now.I put a new Queen in them shortly after I got the but apparently they killed her no sign of a queen.
Question is should I try to unite them with a swarm I caught which are doing really well or just let them die off they have been queenless for a long time and I don't want to chance them killing my swarm queen?
If the hive is truly queenless, with the 2 hives near each other, take the queenless hive apart, shake them out a good ways from the hive location and shake all of the bees out. The bees will move in with the other hive but they will not let any laying workers in.
