Title: Too much stores in brood box?
Post by: Andrew Tyzack on April 06, 2006, 07:03:35 AM
I have a lot of stores in the brood box - will this impede spring brood rearing?

What can I do to make more room?

Thanks,

Andrew

You take extra stores away for a while. You have in brood frames food and whole food frames. Take capped frames off and leave amount of 2 full food frames.

When food deminish along spring, give more food.

When hive enlarge you give food frames back. Tear broken capps and put frames between brood frames. So winter food will go into bees consumption.
