Just curious....started with 1 package ...just got a nuc to have a second hive to share resources with.....and not a day later a friend of mine jtook me to see not 1 not 2 but 3 feral hives he knows about and was wondering if I wanted help "bringing them home".....not sure I want to jump in with both feet and start the outyard game but the temptation is there LOL

That would be awesome... I'll be getting a second next year.
If you want to grow your hive count, I wouldn't turn it down. Cleo Hogan has a great method for trapouts. Look him up on youtube. G
went and looked...one hive is in a whiskey barrel that was used as a table until the homeowners abandoned it when the bees moved in. They want them gone and I will take those this weekend. They dont want me to destroy the whiskey barrel so I am scheming how I can cut a removable piece to give me room to get the bees out that can be replaced and sealed up when I am done.
The other 2 are in cement block walls and present some challenges....both are pretty public places so a trap out might not be the best idea since people could easily mess with the bait nuc I would try and get them into. I need to minimize damage if I do a cut out. Still pondering my options so we shall see.
