Just curious if anyone is starting to see a fall nectar flow in West Kentucky? The Golden Rod has started to bloom but the weather is all over the place. I was going to put honey supers back on but didn't know if now was the time. I would rather them replenish the hive bodies for winter first then add honey tot he supers.
South central Indiana here [Greene County]. We have goldenrod blooming already. Also the figwort has gone gangbusters this year - I've even seen the hummingbirds on it - and it's almost as full of bees as the locust is in the spring. I've got a lot of sumac blooming, too. That said, as soon as the white sweet clover was done, all the colonies contracted a bit. I put 2:1 syrup on and they are taking it slowly despite the current flow.
