Title: Newbie from Mississippi
Post by: Reddog54 on August 20, 2015, 04:37:46 PM
Hello all, I joined to get more info on beekeeping.  My wife has been doing it for about 2 years now and I am starting to get more and more involved in it so I am trying to learn what I can and try and help her out.  She currently has 2 hives and about to get 2 more with plans on splitting at least one of the existing ones this coming spring so there should be plenty more for both of us to do.  I don't do any hands on work with the hives due to mobility issues but can help with most anything else.

I have already found some very helpful posts on here and look forward to reading through more and hopefully able to contribute on occasion as well.

Steve

Welcome to the forum Steve.

A few suggestions: try to find a beekeeping club near you, many now have a mentoring program and equipment that you might use (extractor, etc); change your profile to include your location (it will help us help you); ask us any questions you like someone should be able to help you, we are here for each other.  -Mike

We live near Raymond, MS and belong to local Bee club.  My wife has a mentor that has been helping her, I am just getting more involved now so looking different places for info.   Thanks for all the replies.
