How long will I need to feed my newly released packaged bees?

Thanks,

If you have 5 frame full of bees they are able to draw 5 foundations. When you live in Texas I suppose that you have summer there and bees get honey from nature.

5 frame foundations need  6 lbs sugar or honey to draw up. They make combs during one week if you feed them. Then stop all feeding.

If bees get honey from nature let them build new combs with honey.

After 4 weeks new bees start to emerge. They you have to follow, how much hey need new room.

Follow how bees fill combs and how much queen has new room to lay eggs. It it has no room, take food frames away and give foundation to draw up.

When you have 5 frames one full frame of food is enough for hive. 3 full frames should be for  brood.

Follow ventilating bees that hive is not too cold or too hot.
