Title: Beekeeper by Hobby in Virginia
Post by: Ed Gallop on October 19, 2015, 09:39:09 PM
I have been keeping bees since about 2000 trying to maintain 8 to 12 hives although cutting back recently due to health issues. I am nearly 75 years old and a retired cop from Anchorage AK (born and raised in coastal VA) but residing in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in VA. Sourwood Honey is my favorite and I provide honey for friends and family. I sell a couple cases yearly to locals to support my many hobbies: Beekeeping, fly tying and fishing, shooting and reloading, woodworking, and several other fun activities. I was just referred to this forum and thought I could use some current advice and maybe even help a little.

Welcome to Beemaster Ed.
With the exception of fly tying, we share a lot of hobbies. I never did try fly tying though. Never Know. I am prepping for retirement my self.
