Post by: dott on November 09, 2015, 05:41:22 PM
had a swarm show up in my yard last august, got a beekeeper to come out and get it.  got to thinking about everything and since I got 200 ac farm and just retired and thinking I need a new hobby the bug bit me.  I have made 10 deeps and 12 mediums 4 swarm traps. 3 coats nucs. I will be getting 2 nucs this spring.

Welcome to beekeeping and the forum. There are a few people on here from Alabama, so you are in good company.

There is a state wide spring meeting in February that you may want to come to. Lot's of good information. There is a spring and fall meeting each year, both of them are held in Clanton.
