Hi guys. Not sure if this is the right spot to post this but it doesn't seem to fit into the downunder or european forums....so please move it to wherever it needs to bee. thanks
It's our 20th wedding anniversary coming up in just a few short weeks and we are going to Belize for 7 days. We're flying in to Belize City and then will head north and visit Hopkins, the barrier reef, and some ruins. I was wondering if anyone knows of any apiaries I could visit or any sort of bee related spots that might be of interest to me while we're down there? Something's that's cool to see and wouldn't want to miss? I would love to buy some local honey?
I have been to Balize once, stopped in there on a cruise ship. I did not here about any apiaries but if they are there you will need a full suit. They only have AHB.

Oh ok. I really don't mean "digging in" so much as just visiting an operation and maybe seeing some hives from afar. I'm not bringing a suit! Lol snorkling gear lol
The Mayan sites were great. Don't miss them.
Jim
Congratulations. Have a great second honeymoon.
Thanks Dallas but who said I've ever had a honeymoon before? This is it, 20 years later. lol Definitely visiting Caracol. Can't wait! Maybe I'll find some honey at a local market or something. And I'll keep my eye out for bee hives and AHBs. eeks lol
Before you go, google stingless bees of Belize. They would be the one thing on the very top of my things to see.
Congrads on the 20 years
Happy Anniversary!
