Title: Cleaning Plastic Foundation
Post by: Newlywed5702 on November 25, 2015, 06:03:46 PM
I have some plastic foundation I want to clean and use in my honey supers.  My extractor destroys wax foundation.  I have seen where water and bleach clean wood frames very good but will the same mix clean the mildew etc from plastic?  I say a video on YouTube where the guy dipped the foundation  into a boiling mix that may have been caustic, I couldn't understant the language he was speaking.

any ideas?????

I use 2 different methods. You can leave them outside and Mother Nature will clean them up or you can use a pressure washer to clean them.

There's no need to clean the plastic foundation to use in your honey supers.  The bees will clean it up just fine.
