Hi All, I am contemplating getting " Back " into Bees after a 30 year abscence. I am 49 this year and unfortunately, I suffered a Stroke back in 2014 which changed everything for me. So I am looking seriously at getting a TBH, simply for the simplicity of things. I grew up down in the Melbourne and used to help my friends grandfather Pino Tropiano in my teenage years who lived in Abbottsford and had 10 Hives in his backyard that was on the bank of the Yarra River.
My Tropiano passed away in 1987 ( I was 20 ) and all his Hives and Equipment went to his brother up in Shepperton, Vic. That was my last time I actually opened a hive up. But once you have the Bee Bug, you always have it lol.
Lifting and bending are out for me, that's where the TBH concept comes in. Was even looking at a Double Langstroth with medium supers. But not sure about that as yet either? Everything just has to be set at a certain height for me be comfortable at
So, I have lots to think about lol
Kind regards
Grafton Boy

Hi All,
Thanks for the replies. I am pretty much housebound, as i cant drive and spend a lot of time on the Internet and Youtube researching and such. As it is going to be quite a challenge to create a tailored setup to meet my physical requirements and needs ?
I am hoping to meet someone up in my neck of the woods that has a TBH, that wouldn't mind me coming and having a look?
Kind regards
