New beekeeper here living in the Pines at about 7,000 feet. My wife and I live and work on the grounds at the Arboretum At Flagstaff. We sort of adopted the roles of beekeepers, and we are now totally hooked. We have built a top bar hive, a bee vac, and I really want to build an observation hive this summer. We got our first hive about 1 year ago and it did fairly well over the summer and then didn't survive the winter. I have a million questions and a million days worth of reading to do so I'm going to start reading and posting questions in the near future.

I'm going to do a search on this site for you for a great Observation hive. I copied it and built it and really enjoy it. it makes a great conversation piece.
