I just had the incredibly good fortune to take a course with Stefan Stangaciu an MD and Acupuncturist, with many other natural qualifications, who taught us a proper methodology for performing Apitherapy in all of it's varied ways, for a wide range of issues.
We learned an amazing amount of treatments that can be done with the different bee products.
I stumbled onto this course as our club Prez, the incomparable stick of dyn0mite, of the Comox Valley Bee club (BC, Canada) brought this incredible teacher in for the course.
I went to the public info talk on Friday Night thinking that this would not be worth the price of admission to do the course and ended up breathlessly waiting to pay the course fee.
This guy was/is amazing. He taught us everything from how to deal with bee stings (accidents) anaphylactic shock, honey massage (totally amazing way to quickly rid the bod of toxins in a surprising way) Bee venom therapy, using direct stings, micro-stings, creams, etc., how to properly make propolis and use it medicinally, as well as a ton of info on using pollen for therapy and how it works from a scientific point of view. Also fertility treatments using drone larvae etc. Even using air from the hive as a treatment and making makeup.
BTW the stings are very light and because they are done in a systematic way, are very effective. Also it can be done without actual stings.
I was totally blown away by the course. He is in Canada for awhile longer in Surrey BC @ the Honeybee Centre. He will be travelling to Saudi Arabia for a conference and then to Montreal and Toronto Canada for seminars etc.
This guy should be on everyone's list. A great teacher with tons of knowledge. You can turn your beehive into other streams of income.
