Title: bees clustering
Post by: davers on April 22, 2016, 02:40:46 PM
I acquired a split single deep 10 frame hive body in March and recently added a 2nd hive body 2 weeks ago. Last week added a honey super on. There are about 50 bee's clustering under the screened bottom board at night with temps about 50 degrees and day about 75 degrees even when it rained. Should I know them off and remove any comb if they are covering?  There is a group of bee's dangling down abut 2 inches.

Move them into the box and cover the screen for a few days until they orientate to the entrance.
