Ok It is time for an update. I received 2 nucs on the 4/30; hived them 5/1 in two high mediums because they were deep frames. Put in a division board so that they only had an area seven frames wide, 5 deeps and 2 over 2 mediums. Did an inspection on 5/8. Pulled out one deep frame of foundation, added 1 over 1 medium. Performed another inspection today. Some of the medium set were being drawn out. I put them in between the deeps that were full of brood and bees. Moved the divider board to only covering two frames worth of space. I will leave them alone for two weeks and then check to see if I need to add a honey super. Both hives had uncapped brood. Maybe 50% increase in number of bees in the hive.
All in all they have been great bees, gentle and sweet even with all my newbie screwing around. I am really pleased with them. Sorry i don't have any bad problems for you to help me with. I am sure I would not have had it so good if I had not spent hours reading this forum before buying bees.
Great news, hopefully your luck will continue.
