Title: Queen bee Carry-on luggage out of the US
Post by: Wolfcellist on May 25, 2016, 11:54:47 AM
What are the rules on airport security if the Queen bees are going OUT of the USA?

Are we allowed to put them on carry on baggages?

If you can carry them on I'd bet they would have to be quarantined for a while first.

The problem probably would not be departing. When you get to the other end they will probably not be very happy about it. Especially if it is some place like Australia where they do not have mites. You will be having a nice long chat with the authorities.

If you try to enter Australia and you don't declare it the sniffer dogs will find it and the fine is extremely large (thousands) and has to be paid before you enter the country.

Okay, what abbout the reverse?  Can they find a nice Caucsian tucked in your luggage?  (just asking.  I brought about 20 plants from Hawaii, told Ag Dept. i had them and they said, "okay.". Very loose.
