Title: varroa mites
Post by: shootr49 on June 01, 2016, 08:14:47 PM
Lots of info on treating with oxalic acid vapor, but I can't find how often to treat. What is the period of time between treatments and how many treatments to get rid of most of the mites? every two weeks? Three weeks? I know not to fumigate after honey supers are on, but after the first treatment how soon should I hit them again knowing that more mites will emerge with the new bees emerging. I'd like to get rid of as many mites as possible before the supers go on.
