What's the thinking on bee repellents? I have looked at previous discussion on Bee Go and Bee Quick and saw no mention of Bee Dun. Anybody used it? What's your thinking about best repellent?
Fischer's beequick. Bee-go is rotten, and the rest are knock offs of bee quick.
Thanks, Iddee. Had never heard of Bee Dun. Dadant sells them all, so I guess each has its fans, but your word is gold.
If you're going to use fume boards it comes down to two choices: Benzaldhyde (Fischer's Bee quick and knockoffs) which smells like almonds and Butyric acid (Bee go and knockoffs including cherry scented) which smell like vomit (or cherry scented vomit). I've never used either, but have smelled both.

For getting bees out of tight places when I do beeremovals I just go by Walmart a buy the 8 ouch bottle of good value brand real almond extract ( about three dollars) and add 2 drops of teatree oil ( about 2.50). shake it up and attach small spray head . instant home version of bee- quick. Works just as good just little slower and doesn't sting the skin when you sweat.
