Title: Camera in hive
Post by: Johnny on July 21, 2016, 06:03:19 PM
Does anyone have a camera in a beehive streaming to a phone or a computer.  If so what kind of camera. I am interested in putting one in a hive to watch and learn.

Search the app ustream. There's a streaming hive camera on there. You might be able to message them.

Protect the lens with a clear filter.

Here's a link to a log hive in Bavaria and there's another link on the page to a landing board cam.

I have to warn you, some of these are addictive. The bears at Brooks Falls, Alaska for example.

The Drift sleath 2 is quite small with a internal battery. It has wireless capability, rotatable lens for different mounting positions. With the internal battery and WiFi on don't expect 3 hours. It can run on external power as well.
