Title: Adult proof packing materials
Post by: Eric Bosworth on August 07, 2016, 09:40:37 PM
Ok, a couple years ago I was lucky enough to still have all my fingers after touching a spinning table saw blade. Scared the crap out of me but only shaved the skin off the tip of 1 finger. Today I replaced the blade on the saw and cut myself just as bad getting the new blade out of the package. Am I the only one who thinks that companies should spend more time building products and less time packing them in ways that make it difficult to unpack?

On a positive note tomorrow I can build more boxes with a nice sharp blade on my bloody saw.

I use kevlar gloves. Used by sawers. Just to unpack and mount blades on everything from chainsaws to sawmill. I deboned my pinky once and never want to do that again.

All the packaging has gotten ridiculous.  It used to be they were designed to open.  Now they are designed to be unopenable.

You can blame the degradation of society for the packaging today.

Can't argue with that...
