Its been quite hot lately and I have had the sticky board out to allow more ventilation.
Last night there was a large beard on the front and I decided to look at the SBB through the bottom/back of the hive.
The video shows what I saw - presumably lots of little tongues poking through the SBB.

What is going on? Is this similar to washboarding?
P.S. - My apologies if you were expecting something more "racey". I couldn't think of a more descriptive subject line.
Probably the ones in the hive with their tongues out are receiver bees waiting for foragers to hand off nectar.
So they are using the open SBB as an additional (but screened) entrance.
There were some (~6) foragers on the outside of the screen. Very interesting.
Thanks !
I appreciate your insight.

Yes. This often happens with a SBB that is open during a flow.
