A couple of years ago, I bought a ventilated jacket with the fencing-style veil, from Mann Lake. I have been very satisfied with it. If there is any breeze, that jacket it much cooler to me than a regular style jacket. I have only been stung about four times through this jacket. Those four stings were in the forearm, where the vented material changes over to a solid material. I don't wear gloves to cover my forearms. Bees cannot sting through any of the other parts of the suit. Well worth the money.

As  much protection as you are going to get in a jacket... pricey but well made... Ultra Breeze. I too am shorter an I imagine a lot rounder ;) 4X for me and plenty room...
