Post by: Vicken on November 20, 2016, 04:10:39 PM
Should i rear some queens or just let these big hives make their own queens,  what suggestions are there,  I also need to know best ways to make a starter hive.

If you let the hives make their own queens, then you are rearing queens.   The hardest part is finding the old queen and pinching her.   Once the old queen is gone, and assuming there was plenty of eggs when you pinched her, they'll make a new queen quickly.   It's fun to watch.

Someone else can best advise on making starter hives.
