Title: Absconded hive

Well today my 2 deep absconded there  were  small hive beetle  but dam we're collecting pollen and had honey but they pulled every thing, sooo down to one and a nother nuc coming in March but I , was hopeing to split at end of February this was my stronger hive what a day, now the question the frames are clean I killed the beetles (sat out there for a hour smashing shb on concrete, brood was Capp but not much  questions is now why to do with frames

If you have chickens, let them pick out the larvae.
Then freeze the frames to kill the eggs and larvae as well as any remaining beetles.

I had a frame full of pollen that was infested with shb larva.  I freeze killed the larva, but I decided to trash the entire frame even though full of pollen.  My concern was fermented pollen may not be good for bees.  Once the shb larva contamanate the pollen I trash it.  I did not want to take a chance with my bees by offering the bees contaminated pollen.
