Title: No eggs in 1 week old 3# packages!?
Post by: EOHenry on May 03, 2006, 06:32:00 PM
I checked my 2  3#packages  I installed 1 week ago today this afternoon.  I put them into brood boxes with drawn foundation.  I found both queens but NO eggs.  Is this normal?  How long before she starts laying? There was a build up of pollen and new necter plus I have kept the feeders full all the time.  Do I need to just be patient or make some adjustments?
Thanx!

You I have to use a magnifying glass my arms aren't long enough.Maybe there are eggs just hard to see.I had a large hive and I took two medium
boxs of brood and added one to each swarm I haived a month ago.I thought I had taken the queen acciedently but checked again a week later eggs and brood .Try again relax take your time
