Title: Single bees grooming before leaving the hive?
Post by: A37 on April 24, 2017, 08:07:55 PM
This is my second year. I installed my packages on comb from a dead out last year. They are really grooming a lot before leaving the landing board and I don't remember them doing that last year. Some do their tongue and some do the back legs excessively. Some bees are also banging their stinger on the landing board, I don't know what that's about. Is this normal? This might be a silly post but I don't have anyone else to ask..  Thanks

IMO a clean bee is a good thing.
