I went into my hives today and found that all of them have an eaten all of their Honey stores and being that it is 93? and so dry haven't had rain nothing that is normally blooming right now is.so I will in the process of making them sugar water to feed all .
here in Central Florida the drought is on.
There are eggs and laying but not the full frames I was seeing before, I hope the nectur starts soon, come on rain
They say possibility of rain Tuesday and Wednesday. Something is up. I caught 4 swarms in 4 days with three being at my house. None from my hives. No telling what's happening at my other in town bee yards.
My farm is very dry, pond is getting close to 2' down since winter. The trees are still blooming here. I sure hope we get some of that promised rain this week. We really need it.
Jim
I wish I could give you guys some of the rain we got this weekend. 6-7 inches Friday night into Saturday morning then another couple inches Saturday night into Sunday. We have a couple dry days then expecting more rain Wednesday and Thursday.

I got 2 sec mist.
Hot , bees taking the feed.
Wow yall are a lot dryer than us. We have been dry since February but we have had a couple of inches of rain each month and things are still blooming as they should just not as much nectar. I will go into my hives tomorrow and give an update. I have a late batch of clover that is blooming now that should help hold onto the flow for a bit longer.

How big is that patch of clover? It takes a lot to feed a hive. I have clover all around my house but it probably does very little for my bees. I am trying to turn my 1 acre yard into sold clover. Even that will not be enough.
