Title: Swam Capture
Post by: Timwright95 on May 01, 2017, 03:43:46 PM
So there is a swarm that I am thinking about capturing, however, after capturing it I wouldn't be able to hive it for a day. See it appeared while at work and I dont have any of my bee stuff with me as I work an hour away. So my only option would be to capture it in a Rubbermaid tub, and it would stay there while I work my second job until the day after capturing. Would this be a problem? Would it hurt the bees? I could give them sugar water while in the tub. Would it make them aggressive?

It will probably work real well if you have a way of providing lots of air. Maybe use a window screen for a lid.
