Title: What is it?
Post by: BeeMaster2 on October 08, 2017, 07:34:42 PM
A friend gave me this.
He found it while looking for old bottles in the woods.
He tried to find out what it is and does. Someone told him it has something to do with beekeeping so he gave it to me.
I looked at it and realized that it is a sort of atomizer.
I put water in it, pressed the button on top and blew into the large end. It puts out a large mist of water. Might be for calming bees with a mist of sugar water.
Let me know if you have seen one and used it or take a guess at what it is.

I was afraid it was something like that. I will have to turn it over to the FBI.  :cheesy:

I remember my Mom had one of those. It was some kind of accessory for the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner hose was moved to the exhaust and connected to this "miracle" device.

I can't recall what was sprayed, but Mom was not a beekeeper.

Ebay has a Kirby accessory kit with a similar device:

PS. Don't tell Hillary.

Jim,

Here is a link to a forum on vintage vacuum cleaners. Posts 7-9 have instruction manuals for use of the sudser attachment.

Looks like just the thing to clean up dirty politics.

Thanks Dabbler.
So it is designed to make dry suds for cleaning carpets without getting them soaked.
