Excellent post, Wally
Good post. The way the media portrays it, you would think the left side of the chart is upside down.

Gun control is for law abiding citizens.
The evil who use guns to kill and maim could care less of gun laws.

It's a great way to turn us into criminals though.

They just arrested a 21 year old student here at the University for having a gun. He did not commit any other crime or threaten anyone, he just had a gun, which would be legal if he wasn't on campus. He's facing felony charges. What a waste of taxpayer money and a promising young life.

The question is why did he have a gun? Did he not know what the law is? It wouldn't be a waste of taxpayer money if he was the next copy cat.

Because he is an adult and he has the second admendment right to do so.

It's Nebraska. He is entitled to have a gun EXCEPT on campus. He probably forgot he had it on him.

If that is the case most likely his life isn't ruined. It's Nebraska.

That's up to the DA. Frankly I'm confused as to how they are charging him with a felony. In Nebraska if you take a concealed handgun into a location that has a sign posted saying you can't bring a gun there, the first offense is supposed to be just a misdemeanor. Maybe there is a specific law about schools that is different that I'm unaware of.

You would have to be a juror to hear the details.
