Title: deadly Oleander bushes

Hello! I'm getting Carniolan honeybees in eight days! My neighbor two houses down has a long row of huge, deadly, oleander bushes. Should I be concerned about my honeybees getting nectar from those flowers? Will they? A local beekeeper told me that shouldn't stop me from getting bees.

Yes oleander is listed as one of the most poisonous plants for bees however it's been my experience that it's not sought after as a food source for them. There is an oleander (white) directly behind some of my most productive hives and I have never seen a bee on it so I wouldn't worry too much.
Perhaps different colour flowers have different qualities. :don't know:
