I am down to the basics. It is not quite crush and strain because it saves part of the comb. It sure is simple though. I got about 10-12 frames to do and didn't think it was worth getting out the big extractor.
Just letting gravity do the work?

Yeah, it is slow but one frame a day is only 10 days.
I got no patients for that. LoL

With a slow process like that make sure the room is dry.
I would disagree with the title that this is a new process. It is one of the oldest.
OK new to me. I never extracted one frame at a time before.
Right now because the temperature is low RH is 86% By 3:00 PM it will drop to 42% and back up in the 80's at 3:00 AM. The house does't have the temperature swings that the outside air does so my guess is an average of 50%. It is going to be a small amount of honey that will end up in the freezer. I suppose I could dry it in the freezer if I thought it was an issue.
Made some improvements so I could do multiple frames at once. Added straining at same time.

So now four at a time.
