Title: Hive progress
Post by: buzzbee on May 17, 2006, 07:23:16 PM
I was out and checked my hive today.
I installed a three pound package of Italians on 4/22.
We had a little warm weather and then it got cool and has been raining.
Temps have been 60's daytime 40's night.
I have abut 4 1/2 frames of brood. Is this normal progress on new foundation?    Also some of the darker comb now has eggs. Is this some comb that has already produced a generation of new bees?  Thanks, Ken

For a package, Yes.

Probably

It sounds quite normal for a new package after approx. 26 days :D
