Brushy Mountain Bee Supplies ... At its main office and all its branches ... close the doors a few days ago .... Took down their website... and There Facebook page.. a few days ago.. I could not find any explanation for this..
Just curious... Will be a  day . If they do not resume operation.

Oregon is down for good. I tried to hit the 50% off sale but they closed the Friday since they only had 2 people and the club announced it is not going to open again to clear out.
I was talking to a lady at a bee supply place yesterday, and she said that what she heard is that Brushy invested too much in heavy equipment and machinery and couldn't pay off the loan and the bank wouldn't renew it. We were speculating that maybe Mann Lake will try to scoop up Brushy Mountain while their down, since Mann Lake seems to be in a purchasing mood.
I am a big fan of Mann Lake,.. only positive experiences and excellent wood ware that always assembles perfectly...
Blessings
Same here Stinger. I also like they have the best prices with no shipping cost for totals over $100.

SHAMELESS PLUG
Beez Needz is a Mann Lake dealer here in N.C.
Possibly cheaper shipping on small orders, or available for pickup if close.
Our bee supply place became a Brushy Mountain distributor a few years ago and I just got a note a few days ago that the store is closed. Really sad. It was a long existing family business in the area and independent. I quit using them and went to Mann Lake stuff because they got to expensive with Brushy.

This could go a long way in answering the question of why they went belly up.
I think I'll be checking out BeezNeedz for a couple of packages
I live 1 mile from Beez Needz. You better let me know when you will be there.
I was planning on it

The word at the club is that Rhul is going to come back out after the Brushy going under here in Wilsonville OR.
I had a beek come by yesterday and buy all my cut comb and some 1 lb muth jars (empty). I did not have corks for them because I was going to get them from brushy at their annual sale (I put my sales on a spread sheet). I am going to have to look at the plan and see where else I had holes.
BTW Brushy would give 10-15% off if you picked it up.

When they were still in Gladstone I used them a little, but their prices were still more expensive than ordering from someplace like Mann Lake especially when ML had a sale. Once they moved, it was not worth the drive.
I was using Ruhl back in the day when the family still ran it. I was sad to see it change hands and sad to hear they closed.
Also, Walter T. Kelley was purchased by Mann Lake... I guess they will continue to operate as Kelley for the present time...
Good Luck to all involved
