Just a quick question. Are supersede cells always on the bottom bar of a frame? Are swarm cells always randomly on the side of combs?
Thanks Phillip

I don't know, maybe so. at your service for education. 😁
Swarm cells are "normally" on the edge of comb. Bottom of frame, or side or bottom if comb edge is free.
Supercede cells are "normally" on the face of comb.
Bees do not read the rule book, so as the commercials say, "Your results may vary".
Thanks Iddee, your explanation pretty well covered it, I am thinking.
SC, thank you also for taking the time to look up the article. I will take a look first chance. The more education the better.
Appreciated, Phillip
Usually swarm cells will be on the bottom and super cells on the sides.

No
> Are swarm cells always randomly on the side of combs?
No. Neither are swarm cells always on the bottom or supersedure cells always in the middle.
