Title: Went thru 2 hives this morning.
Post by: Sputnik on May 04, 2019, 12:30:52 PM
I'm very pleased. From 2 hive I got 2 full mediums and 2 full shallows. Best I have seen here in East Tn. First of May, we still have a strong flow going on. Very thankful for our blessings.
To make it better my 10 year old Grandson was very excited to help.

Congratulations.
It is always good to get the young ones involved.

I always enjoy the post when the kids are included.  Great to spend time with the kids, teaching the next generation of beekeepers.

Yes, this young man needs a suit. He was is a veil and gloves. Nobody got stung. Seeing that big smile on his face as I pulled framess and brushed bees was priceless. We had a great day, this camping out in a tent thing... Tells me I'm  getting old.

In our kindergarten (understood, yes?) we started a bees-project. built a hive on friday with the kids, gonna bring in the bees soon. gonna get a couple jackets with veil and gloves so we get the kids closer to bees and nature in general.
