This year has been wetter than normal and my bees have taken advantage of it. The last few years there has been more farmers around me planting cover crops. This year with the rain, it has given an extra few weeks for the rape and crimson clover to bloom. With probably close to 1000 acres(just a rough guess) within 2-3 miles, I have noticed a big difference in nectar and hive growth. I have been dealing with swarms. Even from my walkaway splits that I made a couple weeks ago. I had 48 hives make it through the winter. I think I'm near 80 now. I put my last supers that I had on my hives. I have now officially ran out of equipment.
How's everybody else doing this year?
I have also run out of equipment because my hive number suddenly doubled since last year. My hives doubled from 2 to 4! Sounds just like you! :embarassed: :cheesy: Seriously though, that?s crazy, cao. It must be awesome to drive around and see all that forage for your bees.
Wow Cao, you are booming! I appreciate your posting.

CAO,
That is great.
I am hoping that I will have to put all of my equipment on my hives this year but it has not happened yet. The bees are not growing in numbers in the hives yet to add more supers.
