I use an old cooler with Plexiglas top pointed in the general direction of the sun. I put some hardware cloth above the bottom to separate the debree from the wax.

I'm using a deep box closed off on the bottom with a stainless steel sink in it and a piece hardware screen over the drain hole to stop the crud from dropping through. I also use a small piece of paper towel over the screen as a finial wax filter. Under the sink is insulated with some odd Styrofoam pieces and has a metal container to catch the melted wax in. The glass top is from a storm door window I trash picked. The components were all free ;). Here in Florida on a hot day I can melt and filter about 3 lbs of wax per day. I usually break out the old comb from 2 or 3 deep frames and let them cook for a couple days then dump and refill. If I put too much old comb in the melter it won't get hot enough and just globs up.
