Creek water better. Been giving them water at hives but they haven?t been using it. Guess I now know why.
Heck yeah! I do too!  :cheesy:

I strongly suspect my girls feel the same. I have a water dish out for them but only a few bees seem to use it, and our neighboring property has a creek on it.
Mine will fly over a a clear spring branch to drink from a mud puddle.
I have no clue where mine are drinking - I never see one in the dish I made with a rock and twigs
Maybe there?s a Luckys bar they all go hang at ?
But yeah Alan - nothing like a watercress covered spring!!
Salty,
If you want to have your bees use your feeder, add a little water pump and make it so that the water flows over some sort of surface. The algae will grow on it and it will become a favorite spot.
