Title: Vegan Honey
Post by: FatherMichael on August 07, 2019, 08:22:45 PM
Saw an episode of SHARK TANK and was disappointed that the purveyors of BEE FREE HONEE gained support for their dishonest product.

I've decided to label my product, should the Lord bless me with a surplus of honey to sell, as vegan.

I've read some of the literature and intend to expose the food activists as the frauds that they are.

"No bees were intentionally harmed in the making of this product" might be a line in the vegan description.

I've only been on this site a while but the impression I get is that each one of us is a tender-hearted and conscientious person.

I feel insulted when they say that their product made from apples save 7500 bees.

What a crock!

Has anyone here intentionally killed 7500 bees?

Ugh.

FatherMichael, my wife and I saw that episode also - a few days ago. Unbelievable! You wouldn't have wanted to hear what my wife said about those 2 women.

One of the parts that shocked me what when they said Honey wasn't Vegan because it came from animals.

There were several claims made on that show that were "from a certain view point" ... so to speak ... i.e. twisted data.

The whole thing made me want to step up my marketing on next year's harvest. The Good Lord saw fit to provide me with a surplus of Honey this year, but it sold out immediately, so I'll have to wait.

Anyways - it was a crazy episode.

It's one of my favorite shows.

Damon is a beekeeper.  So, it was especially saddening to me to see him pitch in with the nonsense.

Unfortunately, this sort of thing seems to be the way of the times and season.

In the creation narrative of Genesis the Lord gave dominion over the earth to the human couple.  He told them to be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it.

It would be dumb of humanity not to raise livestock with which to feed ourselves.  The apples of which this fake Honee is made, for instance, are the product of manipulating nature for our benefit and pleasure.

Shark Tank is what it is.  Pure capitalism.  The wealthy taking advantage of the hopeful.  I like that they are up front with it.

Ace,
Those sharks make a whole lot of people very rich by providing the backing to get their ideas to market. Most of those people would go broke trying to market their ideas with out their money and assistance.

When I was a boy it was called and described as  (business dealings) here in my area. And business dealings are appropriate words for conducting business? It seems the left has a new word or phrase for business dealings. I have been hearing that a lot lately from the left, (Pure Capitalism).  First time I heard that phrase used was in history about North Vietnam, and a person named Jane Fonda used it? For curiosity, does anyone know who Jane Fonda was or is?

Ben,
Please do not bring up her name again. Too many of my fellow servicemen were badly tortured and killed because of that evil woman. If she did that during WW1 or 2, she would have been charged with aiding and abetting the enemy.

It just seems like a terribly dishonest product to me, claiming that bees are killed in making honey, like we crush it out of them or something.

How does buying fake honee (that's the way they spell it) "save" 7500 bees?

???

Brother Michael, It is dishonest. I did not mean to hijack your thread. I answered Ace?s statement which directly lead to this point, and here we are. My apologies.

I never mentioned Jane Fonda.  Many, many more service men were killed, and the survivors betrayed by the war mongers of the time.  But that's OK right Ben?

We have our own opinions and views and thank God that we live in a country where this is recognized. A country where we have the right to life , liberty , and the pursuit of happiness, as long as we do not infringe on others right to the same. I sympathize with Brother Michale. Its not that I have anything against someone trying to market a product, but because of the falsehood of the imprecation of killing the 7500 bees 🐝 explanation. It is not good to run down a good product, honey, which is a gift to man from God himself.  Really Brother Langstroth did much to lower the amount of bees killed when gathering honey. He came up with the system now used by many the world over, even today, for housing the bee and gathering honey. Imagine how many bees were killed before this modern technology was introduced. It?s a wonder even the queens were not killed and probably many times were.
Blessing to all including you also Ace. We don?t always agree but I appreciate you and I am glad you are here just the same. I?m sure you get just as tickled at me as I do at you . God Bless you all.

Trout, I tend to agree with iddee when it comes to Ace. I think Ace loves a good argument if he can stir one up, or find one waiting. I enjoy Ace. I have had many good laughs and I am sure he probably has also.  He will grow on you once you learn his ways. BTW (I think he really may be a right winger in disguise),
 😊😁
