If your beetles are really bad, this may not work, but I don't add anything to my beetle trap oil.  When the beetles die in it, the smell of the dead beetles seems to attract other beetles.  I just clean it out when it gets full of bodies.

I agree with the above post. And we have a pretty serious beetle problem here in Georgia.  I think other beetles is the best attractant.  I build some carpenter bee traps to put around my house. It takes forever to start catching them sometimes unless I smack one and stick it in the trap....then it's on!!!

Alrighty then- all I need is an Eat At Trap sign for those stupid little guys.

It?s also a bad problem so then what remedy do I use

About a month ago I have thrown some slimeout onto the highway for cars to crush SHB larva  from a wind downed tree.  The hot HWY and cars did their job.  This made me think, well,  Next time I am going to freeze it and put about a spoon full in each oil pan.  Hope it doesn't work to good.
