I like to read the signatures everyone here has...  some are funny, some are just weird (like mine),  some are challenging, and every now and then you get one that hits you between the eyes.

FELLAS:

Please fight nice - I follow topics or am pointed to topics which often escalate to flame wars. REMEMBER we don't allow flame wars among members here.

JACK - be nice, Ted's Bud-light spell checker may NOT be what you would use, but if it works for him, then it's good enough for the forum.

I'm not pointing fingers, but threading a post about adding signatures into a spell-check topic serves little purpose except to temp the other guy into confrontation - even if meant in jest - not everyone has the same humor-triggers as you do.

I have a slightly whacked sense of humor that SOME of my coworkers find funny - others don't get me. I know who to bust and who not to bust. I know the forum works the same way - what may be light-hearted fun to one person is digging deeply in the crawl of another. Be nice and respectful guys, that's all we ask here. Thank you.

Final thought, I use Gooooooogle's toolbar with Spell-check built in. It is perfect for the forum and saves you from cutting and pasting content JUST to spell-check. In my case, I was trying to properly spell the dozen or so words which I constantly spelled wrong. It has helped me greatly and now I find myself making fewer errors thanks to using it.

I am one of the worst in the world when it comes to spelling so I use a little program by Iespell which sits at the top of my windows screen tool bar. It works on any internet info box that you type into. It works pretty darn well except for the times I forget to use it.

You can find it here http://www.iespell.com/

Romahawk:

That is the same way the Goooooooooooogle toolbar is - except it has its search box to the left, a pop up blocker and pretty fancy (open box spell checker) too and a few other features I never use - but if it is a field where you enter text (any email program etc.., you can spell check it.

I'm pretty good at remembering to use it, I've had a few complaints and grown self conscious about my spelling - somehow some people got the impression the site Admin. guy should have A+ spelling ability, yeah right - lol

I guess a neat feature is the ADD TO DICTIONARY FEATURE - where I add member names as they come along, including beekeeping terms not found in the speller in the beginning. So eventually you tweak it to your personal likes.

Often, I use a program called Ultra-Hal Text to Speech reader, which does just that, takes ANY copied text from anywhere and reads it to me in several voice that I choose from - this is ideal for long posts in the forum or for lengthy webpages, news articles, etc. Over the years I have tweaked hundreds of pronunciations and it has gotten extremely good at reading to me with this mistakes that need fixing.
